Why Us “ Our Testimonial”
Do you have a minute? We have been visiting the outer banks of North Carolina since the early 1970's. Yes I'm getting old. In 1993 we decided to build our own beach house and have never looked back. Our favorite times of year here are fall and spring although the summers aren't to shabby. We have endured numerous north easter's, about ten hurricanes and one storm of the century but we are still here. When asked why? I say it cannot be put into words because its an experience that becomes a memory although pictures do help.
We have entertained family, friends, neighbors, family friends, friends of friends, and several hundred other guest that we never determined the origin. We have had weddings, anniversary's, birthdays, receptions and holidays here. It is common for us to have special meal events for our guests. Clam Bakes, Island Omelets, Caught today Fish Fry's and old fashioned Barbecue's seem to be our staple. Many of our guests have traveled hundreds of miles for such occasions and meals.
So why a bed and breakfast. I was soon to retire and had pondered over what it is that I'll do for the next several years. I wondered what else I did and enjoyed, other than work, for the past several decades. This thought process started about four years ago. On many occasion, while visiting us, friends had suggested turning our home into a B&B but we knew nothing about B&B's. Then one close friend said just continue what your doing. That was it. We started our research made some contacts got our business license and now are off to the “ races”.
